The Innovation Institute at Baylor College of Medicine, led by Joe Petrosino, Ph.D., chief scientific innovation officer, assists faculty with translating new discoveries and intellectual property to the commercial sector. The Innovation Institute manages Baylor’s IP through market evaluation, IP protection and strategic development, with the goal of finding the right path to the marketplace for each new discovery, including establishing commercial partnerships and launching new companies, as appropriate.
