About

The National School of Tropical Medicine (NSTM) at Baylor College of Medicine is researching the ways that climate change is a contributing factor to systemic disease and lingering poverty. The NSTM is committed to addressing the world's most pressing tropical diseases that disproportionately afflict the world's poorest people. It addresses these global health challenges through outstanding programs in research, vaccine development, education and public policy advancement. Disease prevention through vaccines is a critical step in stalling the infiltration of tropical diseases. NSTM scientists are developing vaccines for Chagas disease, hookworm infection and schistosomiasis, in addition to new coronavirus vaccines to help prevent the next worldwide pandemic. Your support will accelerate vital research, advance life-saving vaccines and strengthen global health efforts to protect vulnerable communities around the world.
