The Baylor College of Medicine Innovation Institute, led by Joe Petrosino, Ph.D., chief scientific innovation officer, partners with faculty to translate new discoveries and intellectual property (IP) to the commercial sector. The Innovation Institute manages Baylor’s IP through market evaluation, IP protection and strategic development, with the goal of finding the right path to market for each new discovery, including establishing commercial partnerships and launching new companies, as appropriate.
